Eligibility Criteria

• Domicile: Applicant must be an original resident (मूल निवासी) of Rajasthan
• Educational Qualification: No minimum educational qualification is prescribed for this post
• Experience (Mandatory): Candidate must possess 1 year of sanitation work (Safai Karya) experience in any Urban Local Body of the state. This experience can be continuous for 1 year or accumulated across separate periods totaling 1 year
• The experience certificate must be issued in the prescribed format by the ULB — either directly by the Chief Municipal Officer/authorized officer (if employed directly by the ULB), or by the contractor/authorized agency’s Senior Manager/Chief Manager (Solid Waste), duly countersigned by the Chief Municipal Officer (for Municipal Council/Nagar Parishad) or an officer not below the rank of Deputy Commissioner (for Municipal Corporation)
• Crucial validity rule: The experience certificate is valid ONLY if issued on or after 01 August 2026 and before the last date of application — certificates issued before this date will NOT be accepted
• A candidate may apply for only ONE ULB of their choice among the 183 notified — applying to more than one ULB will lead to rejection of ALL applications

Age Limit & Age Relaxation

• General Age Limit: Candidate must have completed 21 years and must not have exceeded 40 years, as on 01 January 2027 (per Rajasthan Contractual Hiring to Civil Posts Rules, 2022)

Note: These age relaxations are non-cumulative (असंचयी) — a candidate can avail the maximum benefit of only ONE applicable provision, not a combination of multiple provisions. Selection Process — Lottery System

• Selection is done through a computerized Lottery Process, using an online software platform developed by the Department of Information Technology & Communication, Government of Rajasthan
• Selection is conducted ULB-wise and category-wise, based on the number of notified vacant posts
• The lottery follows a strict 3-tier priority order:
• Priority 1: Candidates having 1 year of sanitation work experience in the SAME ULB where they have applied
• Priority 2: If posts remain vacant after Priority 1, candidates with 1 year of sanitation experience from ANY OTHER ULB within the SAME DISTRICT are included in the lottery
• Priority 3: If posts still remain vacant after Priority 1 and 2, candidates with 1 year of sanitation experience from ANY ULB in the entire state are included
• There is no written examination or interview — selection is purely through this experience-tiered lottery mechanism
• Special Court-Directed Priority: Where the Rajasthan High Court (Jodhpur/Jaipur Bench) has passed orders in earlier sanitation worker recruitment cases directing priority/regularization for a specific petitioner, such willing/consenting applicants applying in the relevant ULB will be given priority in the recruitment process

Salary / Remuneration & Health Requirements

• Monthly Remuneration: ₹7,410/- per month, as per the Labour Department’s notification dated 13 December 2024, payable to Contractual Safai Karmcharis in Urban Local Bodies
• Selected candidates must be in good mental and physical health, free from any condition that would hinder efficient performance of sanitation duties
• A medical fitness certificate must be submitted, signed by the Chief Medical & Health Officer or a Medical Jurist of the district where the candidate normally resides
• Police Verification will be conducted for candidates finally selected for the post

Grounds for Ineligibility
