Education Qualification

• Essential Qualification (as on 31.12.2026): Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government
• Candidates in the final year/semester of graduation may also apply provisionally, subject to producing proof of passing on or before 31.12.2026
• Candidates with an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) must ensure the IDD passing date is on or before 31.12.2026
• Matriculate Ex-servicemen with an Indian Army Special Certificate of Education (or equivalent Navy/Air Force certificate), after completing at least 15 years of Armed Forces service, are also eligible

Note: Candidates working in SBI’s Clerical cadre, and those who previously resigned from SBI while in clerical cadre, are NOT eligible to apply under this project.

Selection Process 2026

• Phase 1: Preliminary Examination — Online, 100 Marks, 1 Hour
• Phase 2: Main Examination — Online, 200 Marks, 2 Hours 40 Minutes
• Phase 3: Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT) — for candidates without 10th/12th proof of the opted local language

Important Points

• Approximately 10 times the number of vacancies (category-wise) will be shortlisted from Prelims for the Main Exam, based on descending order of aggregate marks
• Prelims marks are NOT added for final selection — only the Main Exam aggregate marks are considered for the final merit list
• Candidates must score minimum qualifying percentage on aggregate in the Main Exam (5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/XS/DXS candidates)
• No minimum qualifying marks for individual subjects/sections — only aggregate score matters
• Trained Apprentices of SBI get 2.5% bonus marks (5 out of 200) added to their Main Exam score, subject to conditions
• Merit list is drawn State-wise and category-wise; candidates are posted in the State/UT for which they applied
• A reserve wait list of up to 50% of vacancies (state-category wise) is maintained, valid for 1 year from the date of final result declaration

Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT) — Key Points

• Applies only to candidates who did NOT study the opted local language at 10th or 12th standard level
• Conducted after provisional selection but before joining the Bank
• Non-Verbal Test: 3 Passages, 15 Objective Qs (15 Marks) + 3 Passages, 15 Subjective Qs (15 Marks)
• Verbal Test: 20 Marks
• Candidates must score minimum qualifying marks (5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/XS/DXS)
• Candidates who fail to qualify the LLPT will NOT be offered appointment, regardless of Main Exam performance

• Click “Click Here for New Registration” and fill in basic details to generate a Provisional Registration Number and Password
• Save your Registration ID and Password immediately — you can re-open saved data up to 3 times before final submission
• Fill in the application form carefully with State/UT choice, local language, category, and educational details
• Upload scanned photograph, signature, left hand thumb impression, and hand-written declaration as per the prescribed specifications
• Pay the applicable application fee through the online payment gateway
• Submit the form — no changes/edits are allowed after final submission
• Take a printout of the system-generated application form for your records (not to be sent to SBI)

Note: Signature/declaration in CAPITAL LETTERS will NOT be accepted. If the signature at the exam doesn’t match the uploaded one, the candidate will be disqualified.

Reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD)

• 4% horizontal reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities under Section 34 of the RPWD Act, 2016
• Eligible categories: Blind/Low Vision, Deaf/Hard of Hearing, Locomotor Disabilities (OA/BA/OL/BL/Cerebral Palsy/Leprosy Cured/Dwarfism/Muscular Dystrophy/Acid Attack Victims), Autism Spectrum Disorder (Mild), Intellectual Disability, Specific Learning Disability, Mental Illness, and Multiple Disabilities
• Scribe facility available for candidates with 40%+ disability who have difficulty writing, with 20 minutes compensatory time per hour of exam
• Latest Disability Certificate from a Competent Authority is mandatory, dated on or before the last date of registration

Important Category-Wise Notes

• OBC: Only “Non-Creamy Layer” candidates get reservation/relaxation; OBC certificate must have the Non-Creamy Layer clause issued between 01.04.2026 and the date of joining
• EWS: Income & Asset Certificate for FY 2025-26 (valid for 2026-27), submitted at Document Verification — no extension of time permitted
• SC/ST: Caste Certificate on prescribed format required at time of joining
• Ex-Servicemen: 4.5% of total vacancies reserved for Disabled Ex-servicemen and dependents of servicemen killed in action (over and above the 10% XS reservation, total 14.5%); first priority to Disabled Ex-Servicemen, second to dependents of defence personnel killed/severely disabled
• No Inter-Circle/Inter-State Transfer is permitted for Junior Associates before completing 5 years of service (except in exceptional cases like Extreme Compassionate Grounds/Spouse Ground, at Bank’s discretion)

Probation Period & Pre-Examination Training

• Newly appointed Junior Associates are on probation for a minimum of 6 months
• Probationers must complete e-lessons prescribed by the Bank during probation to get confirmed; failing which probation may be extended
• Free Pre-Examination Training is available for SC/ST/OBC/Ex-servicemen/PwBD category candidates who opt for it in the online application, conducted online with schedule shared via registered email/SMS

• Candidates can apply for vacancies in ONE State/UT only, and can appear for the test only once under this recruitment project
• Request for change/correction in particulars (including category) once submitted will NOT be entertained under any circumstances
• No request for change of examination centre, date, or session will be entertained
