Selection Process — What Junior Executive Candidates Should Expect

• Stage 1: Computer Based Test (Objective Type) — No Negative Marking
• Stage 2: Application Verification / Subsequent Tests (as applicable to the post)
• Important: Unlike Manager posts (Post Codes 1–11), which include an Interview stage, Junior Executive posts (Post Codes 12–15) are selected purely through CBT performance and Application Verification — no interview is conducted
• Provisional selection is based strictly on the merit list prepared from CBT performance, subject to meeting all eligibility criteria
• Roll numbers of shortlisted and finally selected candidates will be declared only on the AAI website — no other channel will be used

Special Note for Junior Executive (Operations): A valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) License is essential — temporary or learner’s licenses will not be accepted at the Application Verification stage.

How to Apply Online for AAI Junior Executive 2026

• Visit the official AAI website — www.aai.aero
• Click on the “CAREERS” tab and locate the link for Advt No. 12/2026/CHQ/DR-CBT
• Register using a valid personal E-mail ID and Mobile Number — these cannot be changed once submitted, and all future correspondence (admit card, call letter, offer letter) will be sent to this email only
• Fill in personal, educational, and category details carefully — no corrections are possible after final submission
• Upload scanned photograph, signature, left thumb impression, and handwritten declaration as per prescribed specifications (see below)
• Also capture and upload a live photograph via webcam or mobile phone
• Select your preferred post code and discipline; you may apply for multiple posts with separate registration and fee for each
• Pay the applicable application fee online (if not exempted)
• Submit the form and take a printout of the e-Receipt and application form for your own records — no need to send it to AAI

Document Upload Specifications — Get This Right the First Time

• Photograph: Recent passport-style colour photo (not older than 3 months), light/white background, JPG/JPEG format, 200×230 pixels, 20–50 KB
• Signature: Signed on white paper with black ink pen (CAPITAL LETTERS not accepted), 140×60 pixels, 10–20 KB
• Left Thumb Impression: On white paper with black/blue ink, 240×240 pixels (200 DPI), 20–50 KB
• Handwritten Declaration: Must be written in your own handwriting, in English only, on white paper with black ink; 800×400 pixels (200 DPI), 50–100 KB

Careful: If your handwritten declaration is written by anyone else, or in any language other than English, your application will be considered invalid. Visually impaired candidates unable to write may get the declaration typed and affix their left thumb impression below it instead.

• Original Educational Qualification Certificates & Marksheets (with self-attested photocopies)
• OBC (NCL) Certificate — must be issued during FY 2026-27, in Central Government format
• EWS Certificate — valid for FY 2026-27
• SC/ST Caste Certificate — issued on or before 07.09.2026
• Disability Certificate (for PwBD) — issued through Swavalamban/UDID Portal, on or before 07.09.2026
• Discharge Certificate (for Ex-Servicemen)
• Valid Photo ID Proof
• Valid LMV Driving License (mandatory for Operations discipline; Manager Fire Services requires Permanent LMV License)
• No Objection Certificate (NOC) — mandatory for candidates currently working in Central/State Government, Autonomous Bodies, or PSUs

Important: No additional time will be given to produce original documents at verification — if there’s any mismatch or missing document, your candidature will be rejected on the spot.

Scribe & Compensatory Time Facility for PwBD Candidates

• Candidates with Blindness, Locomotor Disability (Both Arms Affected), or Cerebral Palsy can avail scribe and/or compensatory time simply on request
• Other benchmark disability categories need a certificate from a Government Health Care Institution’s Chief Medical Officer/Civil Surgeon/Medical Superintendent
• Compensatory time, if opted, is 20 minutes per hour of examination — but it must be indicated in the online application itself; requests made afterward will not be considered
• Candidates must arrange their own scribe (at their own cost), whose qualification must be one step below the candidate’s own qualification and from a different academic stream than the post requires
• Visually impaired candidates can also use magnifying font to view test content on screen

Smart Prep Tips — Getting a Head Start Before the CBT Date Drops

• Since there’s no negative marking in the CBT, attempt every question — an educated guess costs you nothing
• The exam is bilingual (Hindi and English), except the language-specific test section — practice in whichever medium you’re most comfortable with
• Start organising your certificates, category documents, and experience proofs (if applicable) well ahead of the September deadline — don’t leave document collection for the last week
• If applying for Junior Executive (Operations), get your LMV license sorted now if you don’t already have one — this is a hard eligibility requirement, not just a preference
• Keep checking the “Syllabus” section under Advt No. 12/2026/CHQ/DR-CBT on aai.aero, as AAI will upload the detailed syllabus separately
• Apply well before the closing date — AAI has explicitly warned that it won’t take responsibility for failed submissions due to last-minute website traffic or connectivity issues
