• As per Director General, School Education & State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha, UP Lucknow letter dated 14.02.2023 and subsequent order dated 28.10.2024, 16 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas in District Bulandshahr have been upgraded from Class 6–8 to Class 9–12 level
• This upgradation aims to provide continued residential secondary/senior-secondary education to girl students from SC, ST, OBC, Minority, and BPL backgrounds in educationally backward blocks

Eligibility & Qualification — Post-Wise Summary

• Principal: M.A./M.Sc. (Physical/Chemical/Botany/Zoology/Mathematics/Computer Science) or equivalent, with minimum 4 years’ teaching experience in Class 9–12, or 4 years as trained Graduate Head Teacher in a recognized Junior High School (age not exceeding 30 years for the post itself, but see age criteria below)

Selection Process & Merit Calculation

• Selection for Teacher/Principal/PGT posts is based on a Merit List (Guṇavatta Ank) — no written exam or interview for teaching posts
• Selection for Cook, Assistant Cook, Peon, and Watchman posts is done via Interview
• At least two newspaper advertisements (one national-level, one state/district-level) will be published; a 15-day application window is provided per advertisement cycle
• A Counselling Committee includes a psychologist to assess candidates’ mindset and outlook, in addition to merit evaluation

Contract Tenure & Renewal

• Selected candidates will be engaged on Contract (Sanvida) Basis for 11 Months 29 Days per academic session
• If a working teacher’s conduct/performance during the current session is found satisfactory, a new contract for another 11 months 29 days is executed for the next session (i.e., a fresh service agreement every year)
• Annual performance evaluation of teachers is conducted by the concerned Block Education Officer
• If services are found unsatisfactory, contract termination can occur with 1 month’s notice; in cases of serious misconduct/financial irregularity/grave indiscipline, immediate termination is possible after due process, along with a First Information Report (FIR) against the concerned individual
• The entire selection process for teaching and non-teaching posts in a given session must be completed by 28 February of that year, per standing directives

Important Selection Guidelines

• Where a Principal is qualified in a particular subject, a separate teacher will NOT be appointed for that subject — the Principal will teach it directly
• Model-I schools (100 girls) get 1 Full-Time and 1 Part-Time teacher for Maths/Science where feasible; Model-II schools (50 girls) with predominantly minority/backward-block enrolment may prioritize Scout-Guide/Physical Education/Art-Craft-Music teachers

• Selection for Rasoiya (Cook), Sahayak Rasoiya (Assistant Cook), Chaprasi (Peon), and Chowkidar (Watchman) is NOT merit-based — it is conducted via Interview only
• New selection for Warden-cum-Teacher posts will not proceed where positions are currently filled; only genuinely vacant posts are being filled through this notification

Important Tips for Applicants
