TN NEET Rank List 2026 — What’s Been Released

The Directorate of Medical Education, Tamil Nadu has released the TN NEET UG 2026 Rank List on tnmedicalselection.net for candidates seeking admission to MBBS and BDS courses across the state. This is currently the 1st Provisional Merit List — the final rank list will follow separately. Along with the Government Quota rank list (released 10 August 2026), a separate rank list is also available for Management Quota seats. The list includes 66,507 candidates and carries each candidate’s application number, NEET roll number, name, community, NEET marks, and rank — this is the basis on which Tamil Nadu’s state counselling process will run.

• Look for the “UG Courses” section on the homepage
• Click on the link for “TN NEET UG 2026 Rank List” (Government Quota or Management Quota, as applicable)
• The rank list opens/downloads as a PDF
• Save the PDF to your device rather than reading it online, to avoid losing your place due to internet or technical issues
• Search for your name or application number in the PDF to confirm your rank, NEET marks, and community category

TN NEET UG Ineligible Candidate List & Grievance

Alongside the rank list, the Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Committee has also published a list of candidates found ineligible for TN MBBS/BDS admission. Candidates who believe they have been incorrectly marked ineligible can raise the issue through the prescribed grievance mechanism within the specified window — affected candidates should carefully follow the official instructions and submit supporting documentation promptly, since this window is time-limited.

TN NEET Expected Cut-Off 2026 (Qualifying)

Based on trends and reported difficulty of this year’s exam, the expected NEET 2026 qualifying cut-off for Tamil Nadu is projected slightly lower than 2024, due to a reportedly tougher Physics section and fewer registrations. These are qualifying-level cut-offs for NEET eligibility, not admission cut-offs — actual college admission cut-offs run considerably higher, especially for government institutions.

Documents Required for TN NEET UG Counselling 2026

• NEET UG 2026 Scorecard
• Class 10 Marksheet (Date of Birth proof)
• Class 12 Marksheet
• Transfer Certificate from school
• Community/Category Certificate, if claiming reservation
• Income Certificate, for fee waiver eligibility
• Aadhaar Card or other valid Photo ID Proof
• 6 to 8 Passport-size photographs
• Allotment Letter (after seat allotment)

What to Do After Seat Allotment

• Step 1: Report to the allotted college in person
• Step 2: Meet the admission office for document verification
• Step 3: Pay the applicable admission fee
• Step 4: Collect your admission slip
• Step 5: If fees are high, check eligibility for Tamil Nadu Government fee-waiver/scholarship schemes for economically weaker students

If your name doesn’t appear in the Round 1 allotment, or you’re not satisfied with your allotted seat, you can wait for Round 2 and submit fresh/revised choices — many candidates do get better seats in later rounds.

TN NEET Counselling Rounds — What Comes Next

• Round 1: Based on the initial choice filling and rank; most seats are allotted here
• Round 2: For leftover seats; candidates who received a seat but want an upgrade can also participate
• Mop-Up Round: The final round, for any seats still vacant after Round 2
• MCC All India Counselling: Conducted separately by the Medical Counselling Committee for the 15% AIQ seats — Tamil Nadu candidates should track both processes if eligible for AIQ seats

• If claiming SC/ST/OBC or other quota benefits, carry your certificate to every stage of counselling
• Remember that your TN NEET state rank is different from your NEET All India Rank (AIR) — the state rank reflects your position within Tamil Nadu’s counselling pool only
