• Visit the official NIFT admissions portal — nift.admissions.nic.in
• Log in using your Roll Number/Application Number and Password
• Navigate to the “SPOT Round Seat Allotment Result” link relevant to your programme (UG / UG Lateral / PG)
• Your dashboard will display the allotted Campus, Programme, Category, and Common Merit Rank (CMR) details
• Download and print your Provisional Admission Letter — this is required at the time of physical reporting
• If no seat is shown, it means you were not allotted a seat in this final round

What to Do After Getting a Seat in the Spot Round

• Pay the admission fee immediately via the official portal — NIFT accepts payment only through net banking, credit card, or debit card; no other payment mode is accepted
• Download your Provisional Admission Letter after successful fee payment
• Physically report to your allotted NIFT campus within the notified deadline, along with all original documents for verification
• NRI Sponsored Seat candidates allotted a seat in the Spot Round must complete payment of the remaining balance fee within the specific deadline notified for NRI candidates
• Failure to report or pay fees within the given timeline will lead to cancellation of the seat allotment and forfeiture of the admission fee already paid

Important — Spot Round Is Final; No Further Upgradation

• Candidates who already had a confirmed seat in a regular round (Round 1/2/3) and opted into the Spot Round for an upgrade will have their previous admitted choice automatically added at the end of their new choice list
• If a better option isn’t allotted through the Spot Round, the candidate’s earlier confirmed seat remains valid and locked in automatically
• Once the Spot Round closes, candidates cannot request further seat changes or upgrades — this is the absolute final stage of the NIFT 2026 admission counselling cycle
• Candidates who fail to explicitly lock their choices by the deadline have their last saved choices auto-locked by the system
