How Your KEAM Engineering Rank Is Actually Calculated

• The rank is based on a 50:50 weightage formula, combining two components equally
• 50% — Normalised KEAM Entrance Exam Score: Out of 300 marks
• 50% — Normalised Class 12 (Plus Two) Marks: Out of 300 marks (Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry combined)
• Combined Total: Out of 600 marks, which determines your final engineering rank
• Candidates scoring less than 10 marks in the entrance exam are excluded from the rank list — except SC/ST category candidates, who remain eligible regardless

Why This Matters: This is genuinely different from many other state engineering exams — your board exam performance carries equal weight to your entrance test score, so a strong Class 12 result can meaningfully boost your rank even if your KEAM paper wasn’t your best day.
