• Freeze: You accept the allotted seat permanently and will NOT be considered in further counselling rounds. Your admission is locked in at this institute/branch. (Category upgradation may still apply later even after freezing, as per portal rules.)
• Float: You keep your current Round 3 seat as a guaranteed backup while remaining eligible for a possible upgrade to a higher-preference choice in Round 4. Since the allotment algorithm can only move you to an equal-or-better seat based on your original choice order, choosing Float carries no real downside compared to your current allotment.
• Slide (where applicable): You retain your current allotted institute but become eligible for a branch upgrade within the same institute in the next round.
