The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha conducted the Class 12 Instant/Supplementary Examination 2026 (theory on 3 July and practical on 4 July 2026) for students who could not clear one or more subjects in the main +2 exam. The board has not yet released an official date for the result, but it is expected to be declared soon, going by the board’s usual pattern of announcing supplementary results within a few weeks of the exam. What is the CHSE Odisha Instant/Supplementary Exam?

• It is a second chance given to Class 12 students who failed to clear one or more subjects in the regular +2 board exam
• Both regular students and ex-regular/distance-education candidates are eligible to appear
• Students who already passed but want to improve their score can also register, under the Improvement Examination category
• Each subject paper carries a maximum of 100 marks — up to 70 for theory and 30 for practicals (subjects with no practical component have a full 100-mark theory paper)
• Candidates who cleared theory but failed practicals (or vice versa) only need to reappear for the component they failed

• If you pass: Your result is treated on par with a regular pass; collect the final marksheet from your school and proceed with admissions, competitive exam forms, or job applications as usual
• If you fail: You will generally need to reappear for the failed subject(s) — or all subjects, depending on the board’s rule for repeat attempts — in the next academic year’s regular CHSE exam
