Key Eligibility Conditions (Must Read)

• Candidate must have already passed the prescribed qualification — final-year/result-awaited candidates are NOT eligible
• Minimum 50% aggregate marks required (45% for SC/PwBD candidates against seats reserved for them)
• Only regular full-time courses accepted — distance/correspondence education degrees are NOT eligible
• Candidates holding higher qualifications (B.E./B.Tech, MBA, CA, LLB, MCA or equivalent) already completed before joining are NOT eligible
• Candidates who completed the prescribed qualification more than 5 years before the cut-off date (31.07.2026) are NOT eligible
• Engineering/Diploma/Vocational candidates with 1+ year of job experience after qualification are NOT eligible
• Only ONE Trade/Discipline can be applied for — multiple applications will be summarily rejected
• B.Sc. (PCM/Industrial Chemistry) candidates can apply for EITHER Code 101 or Code 108 (not both); B.Com candidates can apply for EITHER Code 108 or Code 109 (not both)
• Code 108 applicants must clearly specify ONE preferred location — Panipat OR New Delhi — in the Microsoft Forms
• Candidates who completed apprenticeship earlier can reapply only in a different trade/discipline, subject to minimum gap conditions (1 year normally; relaxed in specific termination cases; no waiting period for women)

Selection Process — No Written Test

• Stage 1: Merit List — prepared purely on percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed qualification (aggregate of all years/semesters), in descending order
• Stage 2: Document Verification — shortlisted candidates called as per merit and seat availability
• Stage 3: Pre-Engagement Medical Fitness Examination
• Stage 4: Offer of Engagement — issued to candidates found fit and with documents in order

Tie-Breaker Rule: If two candidates have the same percentage, the one with the earlier date of birth (senior in age) ranks higher; if DOB is also same, higher marks in Class X (Matriculation) decide the rank.

Note: Preference is given to candidates applying for apprenticeship training for the very first time. There is no guarantee of regular/permanent employment with IOCL after completing the apprenticeship.

• Safety Shoes & Helmet — provided (returnable) to Codes 101, 102, 104, 105, 106 & 107 apprentices

• General Leave: 32 days (8 days/quarter, including medical grounds)
• Casual Leave: 12 days per calendar year (pro-rata)
• Reimbursement up to ₹3,000/- for pre-engagement medical tests/investigations (on production of receipt)
• Single second-class railway fare reimbursement for SC/ST/PwBD candidates attending Document Verification (if distance ≥ 30 KM)
• No HRA or Company Accommodation is provided to apprentices

Documents Required for Application & Document Verification

• 10th/Matriculation Certificate (Date of Birth Proof)
• Class XII Marksheet / ITI (Fitter) Semester-wise Marksheets (NCVET/SCVT) / Graduation / Diploma Marksheets, as applicable
• Final Certificate — Class XII / ITI / Graduation / Diploma, from the respective Board/University/Institute
• CGPA/OGPA to Percentage Conversion Certificate, if applicable

• Skill Certificate in ‘Domestic Data Entry Operator’ (for Code 111 applicants only)

How to Apply Online for IOCL Panipat Apprentice 2026

STEP I — Registration & Application on NAPS/NATS Portal

• For Codes 101, 102, 108, 109, 110 & 111: Register on the NAPS Portal — apprenticeshipindia.gov.in
• For Codes 104, 105, 106 & 107: Register on the NATS Portal (BOAT) — nats.education.gov.in
• Search location as “IOCL, Panipat Refinery & Petrochemical Complex” and select your respective trade
• Login using the Establishment ID and apply against the relevant opportunity (see table below)

STEP II — Mandatory Microsoft Forms Submission

• After applying on NAPS/NATS, visit www.iocl.com and fill the additional details in the Microsoft Forms link provided in the notification
• Use the SAME email ID and mobile number as used on the NAPS/NATS portal
• Submit only ONE response — multiple submissions are not accepted
• Both Step I and Step II must be completed for the application to be valid

• Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant): On-the-job training in refinery/petrochemical plant operations, process monitoring, and safety procedures
• Fitter Trade Apprentice: Mechanical maintenance, fitting, and equipment repair training on refinery machinery
• Technician Apprentices (Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation): Hands-on diploma-level technical training across refinery process, maintenance, and control systems
• Secretarial Assistant: Office administration, correspondence, and clerical support training
• Accountant Apprentice: Basic accounting, billing, and finance-support training
• Data Entry Operator (Fresher/Skill Certificate): Computer-based data entry and record-keeping training
