Candidates who have been allotted a seat must now complete online document upload, institute verification, and select their willingness (Freeze/Float/Slide) between 22 and 24 July 2026 to retain their admission opportunity. Those who remain unallotted will automatically stay eligible for Special Round 2, followed by the National Spot Round (NSR), which serves as the final admission opportunity under CCMT 2026.

NIT Agartala, the conducting authority of CCMT 2026, has officially declared the Special Round 1 (Phase II) Seat Allotment Result for M.Tech, M.Arch and M.Plan admissions at NITs, IIEST Shibpur, and participating IIITs/CFTIs. This round was conducted against the tentative vacant seat matrix released on 13 July 2026, covering seats that remained unfilled after the three Regular Rounds (Round 1, 2 & 3) concluded in June 2026. Candidates who registered afresh for the Special Round — including those who had earlier surrendered their seat to try for a better option — can now check their allotted institute and programme by logging in with their GATE credentials.
