Preparation Tips for Patna High Court Ex-Cadre Assistant 2026

  • Since minimum qualifying marks are relatively low (40% in Written & CPT, 30% in Interview) but final merit is Written Test + Interview based, focus on maximizing your Written Test score rather than just clearing the cutoff
  • Practice basic MS Word, MS Excel and Internet usage regularly — the Computer Proficiency Test is skill-based and can be a scoring differentiator if you’re comfortable with typing and spreadsheets
  • Give equal attention to Bihar-specific General Awareness (History, Culture, Geography, Economy, Polity) as it’s specifically highlighted in the syllabus
  • Attempt questions carefully in Preliminary/Written Test — negative marking of 0.25 per wrong answer can significantly hurt your score if you guess randomly
  • Keep all required certificates ready and valid well before 27 August 2026, since certificates issued after this date won’t be accepted
