Post-Wise Vacancy, Stipend & Training Details

Educational Qualification

• Graduate Apprentice: Full-time (regular) 4-year Engineering degree in the relevant/equivalent stream, recognized by AICTE, Government of India
• Diploma Apprentice: Full-time (regular) 3-year Diploma in Engineering in the relevant/equivalent stream, recognized by AICTE, Government of India
• ITI Trade Apprentice: ITI NCVT Certificate in the relevant/equivalent trade/specialization, awarded by the Directorate General of Training (DGT), Government of India

Eligibility Criteria

• Domicile: Only Indian citizens with domicile of West Bengal are eligible
• Year of Passing: Only candidates who passed their Degree/Diploma/ITI in 2022 or after 2022 are eligible
• Age Limit (as on 24.08.2026): Minimum 18 years, Maximum 26 years — upper age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD categories as per Government of India guidelines
• Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship, discontinued it midway, or are currently pursuing apprenticeship elsewhere (or in AAI) with the same qualification level are NOT eligible
• Candidates who already have 1 year or more of apprenticeship training/job experience after acquiring the essential qualification are NOT eligible
• Candidates can apply for only ONE discipline/subject — applications for more than one discipline will be rejected

Mode of Selection

• Graduate/Diploma vacancies are advertised only through the BOPT/NATS website
• ITI Trade Apprentice vacancies are advertised only through the RDAT/NAPS website
• Only nominations received from the official BOPT/NATS and RDAT/NAPS websites will be considered for provisional selection
• Provisional selection is based on the percentage (%) of marks obtained in the required educational qualification — there is no written exam or interview at the shortlisting stage
• Shortlisted candidates will be called for Interview/Document Verification only through their registered email ID
• Final selection is based on Interview/Certificate Verification and submission of a Medical Fitness Certificate at the time of joining
• Selected candidates will be engaged as apprentices only at the O/o the Airport Director, AAI, NSCBI Airport, Kolkata-52

How to Apply — AAI NSCBI Airport Apprentice 2026

• For Graduate/Diploma Apprentice: Visit nats.education.gov.in, register as a Student, and find establishment “Airports Authority of India, O/o Airport Director, NSCBI Airport, Kolkata-52” using Establishment ID EWBPNC000002
• For ITI Trade Apprentice: Visit apprenticeshipindia.gov.in, register as a Candidate, and find the same establishment using Establishment ID E06161900020
• Click the “Apply” button on the opportunity page — on successful submission, you’ll see: “Successfully applied for the training position. Based on availability, you will be contacted by the establishment”
• Mandatory: Complete your registration on the NATS/BOPT portal (Graduate/Diploma) or NAPS portal (ITI Trade) BEFORE applying to AAI — only applications received online through these portals will be considered; no other mode of application/correspondence will be entertained
• Keep your profile updated (including APAAR ID) and get it verified from the concerned Regional Board/office — this is solely the candidate’s responsibility

NATS 2.0 Portal — Student Registration Process (Graduate/Diploma)

• Step 1: Register at moenats.aicte-india.org/student_register.php with Basic Details (Name, Father/Mother’s Name, Aadhaar No.), Educational Details (Course/Institute), Communication Info (Address, Mobile), Training Preference, and Bank Details
• Step 2: Complete your Student Profile in 5 sections: Basic Details, Education Details, Communication Information, Training Preferences, and Bank Details
• Step 3: Search “Apprenticeship Opportunities” on your dashboard and apply against AAI’s listed vacancy (Industry Name, Post Title, State, District, Vacancies, Last Date to Apply are shown)
• Step 4: Track your application under “Application Management” — status changes from “Applied” to “Contract Sent for Approval of BOAT” once the establishment initiates a contract
• Step 5: Accept the Contract Request from the establishment first; it is then sent to BOAT (Board of Apprenticeship Training) for final approval
• Step 6: Once approved, download your Apprenticeship Contract Registration Form — this confirms your engagement
• Note: Once a contract is created, your profile gets LOCKED and you cannot apply for further apprenticeships unless you request BOAT for a change

Apprenticeship India Portal (NAPS) — Process for ITI Trade Candidates

• Click “Register” → select “Candidate” on apprenticeshipindia.gov.in
• Fill the Short Registration Form with Basic, Family, and Contact details, then continue
• Use a valid email ID — the activation link is sent to that email; note your Registration Number shown after successful registration
• Open the activation email and click “Activate” — you’ll be redirected to the Login page
• Login with your registered Email ID/Registration Number and Password
• Click “Complete Your Profile” — you cannot apply to any opportunity without completing this step (About Me, Contact, Education, Preference sections)
• Use “Apprenticeship Opportunities” to search AAI’s posting by keyword and click “Apply”
• Track “Invitations Received,” “Applications,” and “Contracts” from your Candidate Dashboard
• When AAI sends a Contract, review Stipend details, working days, and location, then click “Sign” to accept (or “Reject” if not interested)

Important Conditions & General Instructions

• Apprentices must undergo training ONLY at O/o the Airport Director, AAI, NSCBI Airport, Kolkata
• No TA/DA (Travel Allowance/Daily Allowance) will be given for document verification, interview, or joining
• Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD, etc. will be followed as applicable; unfilled reserved seats will be moved to another reserved category or general category
• AAI has NO obligation to offer regular/contract employment to apprentices after training completion — candidates cannot claim any job right based on this apprenticeship
• Candidate’s selection is provisional, subject to certificate verification and submission of a Medical Fitness Certificate (from a Government Medical Officer only) and Birth Certificate at the time of joining
• If false, incomplete, or incorrect information is found at any stage (even during apprenticeship), the candidature/engagement can be cancelled
• AAI Management’s decision is final and binding on all matters — no correspondence regarding non-selection or non-issuance of call letter will be entertained

What Happens During the Apprenticeship

• Selected candidates undergo a structured, hands-on On-the-Job-Training (OJT) at NSCBI Airport, Kolkata, under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) 2.0 framework
• Apprentices are governed by the Apprentices Act, 1961 (with rules made thereunder and amendments), plus AAI’s own policies during the training period
• Stipend is credited monthly as per the AAI Share + Government DBT Share split shown in the vacancy table (for Graduate/Diploma streams); ITI Trade stipends are paid entirely by AAI
• On successful completion, apprentices can download their Completion of Apprenticeship (COP) certificate from the NATS/NAPS portal
• The training program does not create any job liability on AAI — it is purely a skill-development opportunity under the Apprentices Act
