Eligibility Conditions

  • Candidate must be a citizen of India
  • Candidate must be able to speak Manipuri or any of the Tribal dialects of Manipur
  • Candidate must be a permanent resident of Manipur (a candidate whose parent or ancestor in the direct lineage is a permanent resident of the State, with proper documentary proof, is also eligible)

Educational & Other Qualifications (Essential)

  1. 10+2 (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks from a recognized University/Board; OR 10+2 (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks from a recognized University/Institution/Board in accordance with NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002
  2. D.Ed. in Special Education from an RCI-approved Institute, and possess a valid RCI CRR number; OR D.El.Ed. with recognized qualification (Certificate/Diploma) from an RCI-approved institution and possess a valid RCI CRR number
  3. 6 months’ training in teaching in cross-disability area in inclusive education (if the proposed cross-disability/top-up training programme is not available, this condition may be dropped, subject to candidates with D.Ed. Special Education or equivalent qualification compulsorily undergoing the aforesaid training as soon as it is conducted)
  4. Passed the Teacher Eligibility Test-1 (TET-1) conducted by the State Government or any other agency approved by NCTE
