Background — Why Is This Post Being Created Now?

• Recently a donation (“chadhava”) theft case came to light in Ayodhya — accused individuals allegedly hid stolen temple donation cash inside washrooms before removing it
• Ayodhya Police arrested multiple accused based on technical evidence; UP Government ordered a Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe
• The SIT audit flagged several gaps in the Trust’s financial management and internal controls
• Following this, the Trust accepted the resignation of General Secretary Champat Rai and Trustee Dr. Anil Mishra; Krishna Mohan has taken charge as interim General Secretary
• To professionalize administration, the Trust decided to move to a corporate-style, CEO-led management structure — similar to how a large multinational company is run
• Around 1,500–2,000 employees are expected to eventually work under this new administrative structure, supported by engineers, financial experts, and professional administrators
• The Trust has specifically ruled out appointing a serving IAS officer — preference is for a retired senior official or a professional with equivalent experience, to keep the temple’s administration independent of direct government control.

Key Roles & Responsibilities of the CEO

• Overall administration of the Ram Mandir and the Trust — the CEO will be the Trust’s most senior executive officer
• Financial management — audit, accountability, and transparency of all funds, donations (chadhava), and financial transactions
• Security management — for the safety of lakhs of daily devotees visiting the temple, and for darshan arrangements
• Monitoring ongoing development/construction works in the temple complex
• Enhancing and protecting the reputation of the Trust and Shri Ram Mandir
• Playing an active role in the preservation and promotion of Sanatan traditions
• Security and rule-based management of all Trust properties/assets
• Preparing and implementing plans to fulfil the objectives laid out in the Trust Deed
• Carrying out any other responsibilities assigned by the Trust or the General Secretary from time to time.
