  • Candidates against whom a criminal case is pending in court, or who have been convicted, are not eligible for admission — this must be disclosed in the relevant column of the application form; concealment leads to cancellation of admission if discovered later
  • Candidates with skin disease, stammering, or who are deaf/mute, or afflicted with any communicable condition that could pose a risk in a classroom teaching environment, should not apply — a fitness certificate from the Chief Medical Officer is compulsorily required at the time of admission

Eligibility-Related Key Rules Candidates Must Know

  • Category once selected in the online application cannot be changed later under any circumstances
  • If a reserved-category candidate applies without attaching the relevant certificate, the application will be automatically converted to the General category rather than being rejected
  • Commerce graduates are grouped under the Arts group for the Optional Subject Aptitude Test (so there are effectively two groups: Arts & Commerce, and Science) — but a candidate can choose only the group matching their own graduation stream
  • Minority community candidates must clearly mention their community (Jain, Buddhist, Muslim, Christian, etc.) in the designated column of the application
  • Transfer from one allotted B.Ed institution to another is not permitted after admission — the course must be completed at the same institution where admission was granted
  • Fake or forged certificates attached with the application will lead to outright cancellation of admission, along with possible legal action
  • Fee once paid is non-refundable under any circumstances, and cannot be carried forward to a future entrance exam

Who Should NOT Apply — Ineligibility Conditions

  • Candidates below 50%/45% (as applicable to category) in their qualifying degree
  • Candidates against whom a criminal case is pending in court, or who stand convicted
  • Candidates suffering from skin disease, stammering, or who are deaf/mute (an exception applies only where NCTE/university guidelines specifically allow, subject to medical certification)
  • Candidates with 60% or more disability (as per CMO-issued certificate norms) are advised not to apply, since a minimum 40% and maximum 60% disability threshold generally applies for the Divyang category
  • Candidates already enrolled in another regular/professional course for the same academic session

Preparation & Application Tips for Eligible Candidates

  • Check your exact graduation percentage before applying — 49.99% will NOT be treated as 50%, so borderline candidates should verify their marksheet carefully
  • Keep your category and horizontal reservation certificates updated and in the prescribed government format before registration begins
  • If your degree shows CGPA, get the official CGPA-to-percentage conversion certificate from your university/college in advance, since it must be uploaded during registration
  • Appearing (final-year) candidates should keep provisional marksheets ready and be prepared to submit final results before the counselling stage
  • Choose your Optional Subject Aptitude group (Arts/Commerce or Science) strictly based on your own graduation stream — a mismatch is not allowed
  • Double-check all entries before final fee payment — no changes are possible in the online application once the fee is submitted
