• Freeze: You accept the allotted seat permanently and opt OUT of further CAP rounds. Choose this only if you are fully satisfied with the college and branch.
• Float: You keep your current allotted seat as a safety net, but remain in the running for a potentially better seat (any college/branch) in the next round.
• Slide (Betterment): You retain your currently allotted institute but seek an upgrade to a higher-preference branch within the SAME institute in the next round.
• If you are allotted a seat outside your top-3 preferences, you can select the “Not Freeze / Betterment” option — accept the seat, pay the acceptance fee, and still remain eligible for subsequent rounds.
