Eligibility — Citizenship

Educational Qualification

a) Broad Speciality Departments

A Post Graduate qualification MD/MS/DNB/MDS in the concerned subject from an institute under any Indian University recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC) (previously MCI) / National Board of Education (NBE) / Dental Council of India, for the following departments:

Anaesthesiology, Dentistry, Dermatology, ENT, Emergency Medicine, FSM (Forensic Medicine), Medicine, Microbiology, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, O&G, Pharmacology, Pathology, Psychiatry, Paediatrics, PM&R, Radiology, Radiation Oncology, Surgery, SPM (Community Medicine), TB & Chest (Pulmonary Medicine), Nuclear Medicine.

Special qualification requirements for three departments:

• Anatomy: MS (Anatomy) / M.Sc (Medical Anatomy) with Ph.D in Medical Anatomy, as per latest NMC notification
• Bio-Chemistry: MD (Biochemistry) / M.Sc (Medical Biochemistry) with Ph.D in Medical Biochemistry, as per latest NMC notification
• Physiology: MD (Physiology) / M.Sc (Medical Physiology) with Ph.D in Medical Physiology, as per latest NMC notification

b) Super Specialty Departments

• A Post Graduate qualification MD/DNB in General Medicine for Medical Super Specialty departments: Cardiology, Neurology, Endocrinology, Nephrology, Medical Oncology
• A Post Graduate qualification MS/DNB in General Surgery for Surgical Super Specialty departments: Plastic Surgery, CTVS, Neuro-Surgery, Urology, Paediatric Surgery
