Selection Process — Complete Stages

• Stage 1 — 1st Test (Domain Knowledge Test): A computer-based MCQ test covering general computer topics and questions specific to the domain applied for. Valid for 1 year from the date of notifying the posts.
• Stage 2 — Document Scrutiny: Candidates who clear the 1st test undergo verification of eligibility and category documents.
• Stage 3 — Mandatory Training: Eligible candidates undergo ~50 hours of training (max. one month) at IDDC Ambala or HMSDC Gurugram, with a minimum 75% attendance requirement, after depositing a refundable security deposit of ₹1,500.
• Stage 4 — 2nd Test (Practical/Project Test): Conducted after successful completion of training, using MVC (Model-View-Controller) based evaluation for Programmer-category posts.
• Stage 5 — Panel Preparation: Final merit is prepared by giving equal weightage to the 1st (Domain Knowledge) and 2nd (Practical) tests. Separate panels are made category-wise, and deployment follows the reservation roster.

Important: Clearing the test and making it to the panel does NOT guarantee placement. Candidates are recommended only when HARTRON receives a confirmed requirement from an indenting (requesting) organization.

Reservation & Special Category Provisions

• Reservation benefits (SC / BCA / BCB / EWS / PwD / ESM) apply as per Haryana Government policy, and only to bonafide Haryana residents who submit supporting documents by the application closing date.
• If category documents are missing or don’t match the claimed category, the candidature is automatically considered under General/Parent category (subject to eligibility).
• EWS certificates must be issued specifically for Haryana Government jobs — EWS certificates issued for Central Government jobs are not accepted here, regardless of the income shown.
• Ex-Servicemen (ESM): Detailed, layered rules apply — covering re-employment status, family-member eligibility, priority order (disabled ESM first), and conditions under which the reservation benefit transfers to a family member. ESM candidates must carry their Zila Sainik Board Eligibility Certificate, Identity Card, and Discharge Certificate at the time of the test.
• Freedom Fighter Descendants: Children/grandchildren of Freedom Fighters are covered under separate Haryana Government instructions, subject to a certificate from the competent authority.
