How to Check DASA UG 2026 Round 2 Seat Allotment Result

• Visit the official CSAB portal — csab.nic.in
• Click on the “DASA UG 2026 Round 2 Seat Allotment” link on the homepage
• Log in using your JEE Main 2026 Application Number and Password
• Your allotted institute, programme/branch, category, and rank details will be displayed on the candidate dashboard
• Download the seat allotment letter/order and take a printout for reporting and fee payment purposes
• The allotment order will show details related to institute reporting, balance fees payable, required certificates, and other mandatory next steps

What to Do After Round 2 Seat Allotment — Since This Is the Final Round

• Since Round 2 is the last round of DASA UG 2026 counselling, all candidates allotted a seat are automatically presumed to accept the seat under the “Freeze” option
• If a candidate does not wish to continue with the allotted seat, they must actively click the “Reject” button to withdraw from the counselling process
• Candidates who accept their seat must exercise their willingness option and confirm admission online by 15 August 2026
• Complete the balance fee payment as indicated in the seat allotment order
• Report to the allotted institute (physically or as per the institute’s specific instructions) and submit the required documents for final admission confirmation
• If seats remain vacant after Round 2, CSAB/DASA authorities may announce further special rounds — candidates should keep checking csab.nic.in for updates

DASA UG 2026 — Who Is Eligible?

• Foreign Nationals (FNs): Citizens of countries other than India holding a valid passport — no residential restrictions; eligible to apply from any country, including India
• Overseas Citizens of India (OCI): Holders of a valid OCI card issued under the Citizenship Act, 1955 — eligible irrespective of country of study, subject to conditions on card issue date
• Persons of Indian Origin (PIO): Holders of a valid PIO card — eligible irrespective of country of study, subject to conditions on card issue date
• Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) / Indian Nationals Studying Abroad: Must have studied abroad for a minimum of 2 years (inclusive of Class XI and XII, not beyond) during the last 8 years, and must have passed Class XII (or equivalent) from abroad
• All categories must additionally hold a valid JEE Main 2026 rank/score and meet the minimum academic eligibility (typically at least 75% aggregate in Class XII, subject to the official brochure)
• Approximately 15% of total seats at participating institutes are reserved as supernumerary seats under DASA, of which 5% are reserved for Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf (CIWG) candidates

DASA UG 2026 Fee Structure

• DASA Enrollment Fee (DEF): USD 300 (non-refundable registration fee) + First Semester Tuition Fee of the allotted institute, paid at the time of application/choice filling
• Tuition fee is refunded if the candidate is not allotted any seat after all rounds
• Payment accepted via SWIFT / E-Payment / NEFT / RTGS transfer
• Refund Rules (as per official DASA guidelines):
  • Full refund (minus the non-refundable USD 300 registration fee) — if no seat is allotted after all rounds, OR candidature is cancelled during document verification, OR candidate withdraws before the Round 1 result
  • 50% refund — if a seat is allotted but the candidate does not complete online reporting

Note: DASA UG and CSAB-Special have been brought under one umbrella for 2026 counselling, both coordinated through the official CSAB portal, though registration, choice filling, seat allotment, and fee payment processes for DASA differ from the regular JoSAA process.

Important: The candidate’s name must be identical across the passport, Class XII certificate, and JEE Main scorecard — any mismatch can lead to disqualification. For DASA, document verification is generally carried out prior to seat allotment.

Key Things to Know About DASA UG Round 2

• DASA UG 2026 counselling has a total of two regular rounds of seat allotment, with Round 2 being the final round for this cycle
• Unlike earlier rounds where candidates could choose to accept, decline, or wait for an upgrade, in the final round all allotments are presumed accepted (Freeze) unless the candidate actively rejects the offer
• Candidates allotted their first preference in earlier rounds could exercise “Accept or Decline,” while those allotted other than their first preference had additional choices — these nuances no longer apply once the final round result is out
• Any seats remaining vacant after Round 2 may be filled through subsequent special rounds, announced separately on csab.nic.in
