Q8. Can I apply for more than one post/item number?

Q9. Will my documents be checked before the written exam?
No. The Board accepts candidature only provisionally at the written exam stage, without detailed scrutiny. Documents are thoroughly verified only later, at the Document Verification (DV) stage for shortlisted candidates.
Q10. What happens if I claim a reserved category but don’t have the certificate in the prescribed format?
Such applications/claims will not be entertained, and if not corrected within the notice’s validity period, the applicant will be deemed not to possess a valid certificate — leading to summary rejection of that specific claim.
Q11. Is there any facility for candidates with disabilities?
Yes. Eligible PwBD candidates can avail a Scribe and/or 20 minutes per hour of compensatory time, subject to specific conditions and documentation (Annexure-B and Annexure-C) submitted on the exam day.
Q12. Can in-service government employees apply?
Yes, but they must additionally submit a printout of their application along with a signed and stamped certificate through their Head of Department/Designated Authority, forwarded to JKSSB before the last date of Document Verification.
Q13. Is TA/DA provided for the written exam or document verification?
No. The official notice explicitly states no TA/DA will be paid for participation in the written test or document verification.
