TS PGLCET Counselling 2026 — Selection & Allotment Process

  • Step 1: Online Counselling Registration & Fee Payment (27–31 July 2026)
  • Step 2: Upload & Verification of Scanned Certificates
  • Step 3: Display of Verified Eligible Candidates List — corrections via email if any discrepancy
  • Step 4: Web Option Entry (Phase I) — candidates select preferred colleges in order of priority
  • Step 5: Edit of Web Options (one-time correction window)
  • Step 6: Provisional Seat Allotment — based on TS PGLCET rank, category, reservation, and web options exercised
  • Step 7: Reporting at Allotted College — original certificate verification and tuition fee payment

Important Points

  • Seat allotment is purely rank and preference-based — candidates cannot choose a specific college directly, only rank the colleges via web options
  • Candidates not satisfied with Phase I allotment may participate in Phase II counselling or choose to retain the allotted seat
  • Failure to report within the reporting window results in automatic cancellation of the allotted seat
  • Special category certificate verification (NCC/CAP/PH/Sports) must be completed in Phase I itself — no separate verification is conducted later for these categories

TS PGLCET Counselling 2026 — Local/Non-Local Reservation Basics

  • Seats are allotted as per Telangana State local area reservation rules applicable to professional/PG courses
  • Candidates must have correctly declared their Local/Non-Local status at the time of TS PGLCET application; this status generally cannot be changed at the counselling stage
  • Reservation for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, and PwBD categories is applied as per Telangana government norms
  • Special reservation categories — NCC, CAP (Children of Armed Personnel), Sports & Games — require separate physical certificate verification on the dates notified above

Common Mistakes to Avoid During TS PGLCET Counselling

  • Do not wait until the last day (31 July) to register — server load is typically high in the final hours, risking payment failures
  • Keep scanned documents ready in advance in the exact prescribed size/format (usually JPEG, under specified KB limits)
  • Double-check Local/Non-Local status and category details before submitting — many of these fields cannot be edited after final submission
  • Candidates claiming NCC/CAP/PH/Sports reservation must compulsorily attend physical verification on their allotted date — missing it forfeits the special category claim
  • Enter web options carefully and in genuine order of preference — once a seat is allotted based on options exercised, changing your mind later means going through Phase II with no guarantee of a better seat
  • Always download and safely keep the final submitted counselling form and fee receipt
