• ICAR UG Merit Rank Card Release: 26 July 2026
• Counselling Registration, Merit Rank Generation, Choice Filling, Fee Payment & Document Upload: 26 – 28 July 2026
• Round 1 Seat Allotment: 31 July 2026

How to Download ICAR UG Rank Card 2026

• Visit the official ICAR counselling portal — icarcounseling.com
• Click on the “ICAR UG Rank Card 2026” link on the homepage
• Enter your Application Number, Date of Birth, and Security Pin/CAPTCHA
• Click “Submit” — your rank card will be displayed on screen
• The rank card shows your Name, Roll Number, Category, Overall Merit Rank, and Category-wise Rank
• Download and save the PDF, and take a printout for use throughout the counselling process

What the ICAR Rank Card Shows

• Candidate’s Name, Roll Number, and Application Number
• Overall (All-India) Merit Rank based on CUET UG score in the relevant subject combination
• Category-wise Rank — a separate rank list is generated for each reserved category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD)
• Subject/domain scores considered — typically Mathematics/Biology/Agriculture stream scores from CUET, as applicable to the programme
• This rank determines eligibility and priority for seat allotment across all participating universities in the counselling rounds

Tie-Breaking Criteria in Merit List

• If two or more candidates secure the same CUET score, ties are resolved using the following order:
• 1st Criterion: Candidate’s CGPA/marks in the qualifying (Class 12) examination — higher marks placed higher in merit
• 2nd Criterion: Older candidate (by date of birth) is placed higher in merit if the tie still persists
• The Council follows this mechanism strictly and uniformly across all categories to ensure a fair, reproducible merit order

ICAR UG Counselling Process — Step by Step

• Step 1 — Registration: Log in to icarcounseling.com with CUET/ICAR credentials and complete counselling registration by paying the fee (approx. ₹500/-)
• Step 2 — Choice Filling: Select and arrange your preferred universities and programmes (B.Sc. Agriculture/Horticulture/Forestry, B.Tech Agricultural Engineering, etc.) in order of priority
• Step 3 — Document Upload: Upload scanned copies of required certificates (see documents list below)
• Step 4 — Seat Allotment: Based on your merit rank, category, and choices filled, a seat is allotted in Round 1 (31 July 2026)
• Step 5 — Freeze/Float/Slide: Candidates can choose to freeze the allotted seat, float for a better preference in later rounds, or slide within already-filled choices
• Step 6 — Reporting & Fee Payment: Report to the allotted institute and pay the admission fee within the notified timeline to confirm the seat
• Step 7 — Subsequent Rounds: If not satisfied or not allotted, continue in the pool for Round 2, 3, 4, and the final Mop-Up round

• Programmes: B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Community Science, Agribusiness Management, Fisheries Science, and B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering, Biotechnology, Dairy Technology, Food Technology (as offered by respective universities)
• State Agricultural Universities (SAUs): A large network across India, subject to state and central quota seat-sharing arrangements
• Central Agricultural Universities (CAUs): Includes universities set up directly under the Central Government
• ICAR Deemed-to-be Universities: Premier institutes offering agriculture and allied science programmes under ICAR’s direct academic oversight
• Seat-sharing between State quota and ICAR central quota varies by university — check individual university’s seat matrix on the counselling portal

Reservation & Category-Wise Rank Lists

• ICAR generates a separate merit/rank list for each reserved category — SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PwBD — in addition to the overall (UR) merit list
• Candidates belonging to a reserved category will see both their overall rank and their category-specific rank on the rank card
• Valid category certificates must be uploaded and produced for verification during the counselling/document verification stage
• Candidates failing to produce a valid certificate at the appropriate stage may lose reserved-category benefits and be considered under the general category, subject to eligibility

• NTA CUET-UG 2026 Admit Card and Scorecard
• ICAR UG Merit Rank Card (downloaded from icarcounseling.com)
• Class 10 & Class 12 Marksheets and Certificates (original + photocopy)
• Domicile/State Resident Certificate, wherever applicable for state-quota seats
• Category/Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD), if reservation claimed, in the prescribed format
• Aadhaar Card or other valid Photo ID proof
• Passport-size Photographs (as used during CUET/ICAR registration)
• Migration Certificate (if applicable, from boards/universities outside the allotted state)

What to Do After Checking Your Rank

• Good Rank (competitive for top choices): Complete registration and fill choices for your most preferred universities/programmes without delay — the counselling window is short (26–28 July only)
• Moderate Rank: Fill a wide range of choices across multiple universities to maximize allotment chances across all 4 rounds + Mop-Up
• Not Satisfied with Rank: Still register and participate — seat availability varies significantly by university and category, so even a moderate rank can secure a seat in less competitive institutes/programmes
• Always keep documents ready in advance, as the registration-to-allotment window moves quickly (registration closes 28 July, Round 1 allotment just 3 days later on 31 July)
