Important Note for Supplementary Candidates

  • Supplementary exams can only be taken for theory papers — practical, assignment, or internal/clinical marks cannot be repeated through supplementary exams
  • A candidate must clear both theory and practical separately for a subject to be considered as passed
  • The class average of internal assessment marks is capped at 75% for regular and 80% for supplementary examinations, as per KUHS regulations
  • The maximum period allowed to complete the B.Sc Nursing course (including all supplementary attempts) is twice the actual course duration, i.e. up to 8 years
  • Results published online/PDF are provisional — the original Statement of Marks issued by the university is the final valid document

Passing Criteria — KUHS BSc Nursing

Component Minimum Pass Marks
Theory (each paper) 50%
Practical (each paper) 50%
Internal Assessment (theory & practical incl. viva-voce) 50% separately, in each subject
Note: Theory and practical must be cleared separately — scoring high in one cannot compensate for failing the other. No grace marks are awarded for PG-level nursing courses; grace mark policy for UG follows KUHS Academic Regulations.

Revaluation, Re-totalling & Photocopy of Answer Sheets

  • Revaluation: KUHS generally does not permit routine revaluation. In exceptional cases, fresh valuation may be conducted only when recommended by the Board of Adjudication for Students’ Grievances and approved by the Governing Council — original valuation(s) are cancelled in such cases
  • Re-totalling: Available on submission of an application with the prescribed fee, routed through the college Principal to the university
  • Photocopy of Answer Scripts: Candidates can apply for a photocopy of theory answer books and theory score sheets (this facility is not available for practical exams) on payment of the prescribed fee, again routed through the Principal
  • If multiple valuations occur for a script, the average of all valuations is taken as the final mark

What to Do After the Result

  • If Passed: Download and preserve your result/marksheet — you can now progress to the next year/semester as per your scheme’s promotion rules
  • If Failed in a Subject: Check the next supplementary examination notification/timetable for that subject on the KUHS website, and apply within the notified window
  • If Result Shows “Withheld”: This usually means a pending matter — an eligibility shortfall, internal marks discrepancy, fee issue, or an administrative hold at your college. Contact your college examination cell immediately to resolve it
  • Always collect the original consolidated mark list/Statement of Marks from your college — online PDFs/portal results are for reference only, not the final valid document

If Your Result Is Not Displaying — Common Issues & Fixes

  • Double-check your Register Number is entered exactly as on your admit card/college records
  • Make sure you’ve opened the correct notification — Year (1st/2nd), Scheme (2010/2016), and exam month (January/February 2026) must all match your exam
  • Since results are often published as PDFs, use Ctrl+F (Find) rather than scrolling manually to search for your register number
  • If the KUHS site is slow right after a result is declared, try again after some time due to heavy traffic
  • For unresolved discrepancies, contact your college’s examination department or the KUHS examination wing directly — this article covers only the official notification details, not internal troubleshooting beyond what KUHS has published
