Reservation Structure — A Unique Two-Tier System

For Trade/ITI Apprentices:

• 50% of Total Slots reserved for candidates passed out from Rajiv Gandhi ITI, Barsingsar (RGITI), Bikaner District, Rajasthan
• Remaining 50% slots are Open Competition (any eligible Rajasthan candidate)
• Within both halves: UR, EWS, OBC, SC, ST reservation applies as per GoI Apprentices Act directives

For Diploma / Graduate (Engineering & Non-Engineering) Apprentices:

• 40% of Total Slots reserved for Wards of Project Affected Persons (PAP’s) of Barsingsar Project
• 10% of Total Slots reserved for Wards of Employees of NLCIL
• Remaining 50% slots are Open Competition

Important: If sufficient candidates are not available from RGITI/PAP/Employee-Ward quota for a particular trade, those unfilled vacancies will be swapped with other quota candidates to fully utilize all training slots, while still following due reservation norms. PwBD horizontal reservation is also applicable (1 HH – Hard of Hearing, 1 OH – Orthopedically Handicapped, as marked against specific trades).

Selection Process — No Written Test

• Selection is based purely on the percentage/total marks scored in the concerned qualifying examination (ITI/Diploma/B.E./B.Tech/B.Com/BBA), as applicable to the trade/discipline applied for
• Trade Apprentices: Based on percentage of marks in ALL subjects of the ITI (NCVT) examination
• Diploma/Technician Apprentices: Based on percentage of marks scored in the relevant Diploma
• Graduate (Engineering) Apprentices: Based on percentage of marks in BE/B.Tech of the relevant discipline
• Graduate (Non-Engineering) Apprentices: Based on percentage of marks across ALL semesters of B.Com/BBA
• If marks are awarded as CGPA/Grades, the percentage equivalence is calculated by multiplying the Grade/CGPA by a factor of 10
• If marks are semester-wise or year-wise, the equivalence is the average percentage across all semesters/years (from 2nd year to final year)
• Tie-Breaker: If two or more candidates have the same percentage at the cut-off level, the SENIOR-MOST candidate (by date of birth) will be considered for selection
• Warning: Overstatement of marks by any candidate will lead to direct disqualification from the selection process

• First register on the NAPS/NATS portal and obtain your Apprentice Registration/Enrolment Number — ensure your profile is 100% correctly updated
• Visit the official website — nlcindia.in — go to “CAREER” page → “Trainee & Apprentices” tab → under Advt. No. BP 01/2026
• Complete the registration-cum-application form online between 15.07.2026, 10:00 Hrs and 03.08.2026, 17:00 Hrs
• Take a printout of the completed registration-cum-application form
• Sign the printed form and attach self-attested copies of all required certificates
• Send the signed hard copy by post to: The Project Head/Barsingsar Project, NLC India Limited, Administrative Building, Barsingsar, Bikaner (District), Rajasthan – 334402
• OR submit it in person at the Collection Box, Barsingsar Thermal Power Station (BTPS), Gate No. 2
