How to Download the WB JELET 2026 Rank Card

• Visit the official JELET portal — wbjeeb.nic.in/jelet
• Look for the link labelled “Rank Card for JELET 2026” or “JELET 2026 Result” on the homepage
• Log in using your Application Number and Password (some candidate portals may also ask for Date of Birth or a Security PIN)
• Click Submit / Sign In to view your result on screen
• Check your General Merit Rank (GMR), category rank (if applicable), and subject-wise/total marks
• Download the rank card as a PDF and take at least two printouts for future use (during counselling and admission)

Important: The WB JELET rank card is issued only as an individual document — WBJEEB does NOT publish a public rank list. No duplicate rank card is normally issued (except via a formal paid process), so candidates must save and preserve their rank card carefully for the entire admission cycle.

Understanding GMR vs Category Rank

• The General Merit Rank (GMR) is the primary merit rank calculated from your total marks in the JELET 2026 exam
• It is the rank used for counselling, seat allocation, and final admission, regardless of your claimed category
• WBJEEB also prepares separate category-wise merit positions (SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD) for reserved-category candidates, but counselling and seat allotment are based primarily on the GMR
• If a candidate’s claimed category is found incorrect during document verification, admission based on that category’s reservation will NOT be granted — the candidate will instead be considered purely under the General category, based on their GMR

JELET 2026 Tie-Breaking Criteria

Where two or more candidates secure the same total score, WBJEEB applies the following tie-breaking rules, in strict order:

• Step 1: The candidate with the least number of negative marks overall is ranked higher
• Step 2: If the tie still persists, the candidate with the highest combined score in Engineering Mechanics and Strength of Materials is given preference.

JELET 2026 Eligibility Criteria (Recap)

• Engineering/Technology stream: Diploma holders and BSc graduates can apply for admission into the 2nd year of Bachelor Degree courses; Diploma holders are given preference during admission
• Candidates need to have passed the qualifying Diploma (or equivalent 10+2 Science-stream) exam with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for General category candidates, and 45% for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PwD candidates
• Candidates must have also passed English with at least 30% marks in the qualifying exam
• Pharmacy stream: Candidates must have passed a Diploma in Pharmacy with a minimum of 45% marks (or equivalent CGPA); the minimum requirement for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PwD candidates is 40%
• Domicile: There is no domicile requirement to appear in JELET; however, domicile is essential for admission to any reserved-category seat and to Government Colleges

WB JELET 2026 Counselling — What Comes Next

• Step 1 — Registration: Visit the official website, complete counselling registration and pay the counselling fee of ₹500
• Step 2 — Call List: Depending on the number of available seats, a call list will be prepared out of registered candidates based on GMR/PMR
• Step 3 — Choice Filling: Fill and lock preferred colleges and branches, in order of priority
• Step 4 — Seat Allotment: Merit-based automated seat allotment conducted across multiple rounds, based on rank, category, choices filled, and seat availability
• Step 5 — Document Verification & Reporting: Selected candidates must report to the allotted college with original documents for physical verification and admission confirmation

Important: Qualifying JELET 2026 does NOT by itself guarantee admission — final admission depends on merit rank, eligibility verification, seat availability, and successful completion of all counselling steps. Participation in counselling is mandatory to secure a seat.

• Keep at least two printed copies of your rank card safely; it will be required at multiple stages of counselling and document verification
• Start shortlisting your preferred colleges and branches based on your GMR/PMR and previous years’ cutoff trends, while keeping some flexibility since 2026 cutoffs may shift
• Register for JELET 2026 counselling as soon as the registration window opens, and pay the ₹500 counselling fee on time
