The SCCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27 notification has been released by The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) for 300 tentative Graduate, Non-Engineering Graduate and Diploma Apprentice slots under the Apprentices Act, 1961.

Eligible candidates who passed their qualifying examination in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026 can apply through the NATS 2.0 portal and official SCCL apprenticeship portal.

The SCCL online application window is open from 06 August 2026 at 12:00 PM to 16 August 2026 at 5:00 PM, and candidates must also submit the required signed hard copy at the concerned Area MVTC/GVTC within the same period.

Selected apprentices will undergo one year of training, with a monthly stipend of ₹12,300 for graduates and ₹10,900 for diploma holders.

SCCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27 — Overview

The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), a Government Company, has issued a circular through its HRD Department inviting applications for the Graduate (Engineering & Non-Engineering) and Diploma Apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961, for the year 2026-2027. Engineering Graduates, Non-Engineering Graduates, and Diploma holders who passed their qualifying examination in the last five years — 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026 — are eligible to apply. A total of 300 tentative apprenticeship slots are available across Mining, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, IT, Mechanical, Civil, and various non-engineering streams like B.A., B.Sc., B.Com, BBA, BCA, and B.Pharmacy. Candidates must register on the NATS 2.0 portal and then apply through the official SCCL apprenticeship portal between 6 and 16 August 2026.

Eligibility Criteria — SCCL Apprentice 2026-27

  • Engineering Graduates, Non-Engineering Graduates, and Diploma holders who passed their qualifying examination during the last five years — 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 & 2026
  • Age Limit: Minimum 18 years, Maximum 28 years; age relaxation of 5 years for SC, ST & BC candidates (i.e., up to 33 years as on 31.07.2026)
  • Candidates must not have already undergone or be currently registered for apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961, in SCCL or any other organisation — an undertaking to this effect must be submitted
  • Candidates must have (or open) an account in Union Bank of India at any SCCL salary disbursing branch, with Aadhaar linking, e-KYC, and DBT enabled, since 50% of the stipend is transferred via NATS & BOAT DBT process
  • Priority is given to “SCCL/Retired Employee Children” and “PAF/PDF” (Project Affected Family/Project Displaced Family) candidates as per SCCL’s prevailing practice
  • Local, Caste & EWS reservations are followed as per SCCL’s extant policy; vacant slots in reserved categories are diverted to the open category
  • There is no registration fee for applying on the SCCL web portal or for submitting the application at the Area MVTC counter

SCCL Apprentice Stipend 2026-27

Note: Stipend is shared equally — 50% by SCCL and 50% by BOAT (Southern Region)/NATS 2.0, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India — credited directly into the apprentice’s Aadhaar-enabled bank account under the DBT system. SCCL will not be responsible for non-payment of stipend if Aadhaar is not linked/enabled with the bank account.

How to Apply for SCCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27

  • First, register on the NATS 2.0 web portal — nats.education.gov.in — and obtain your registration number after filling required fields and uploading certificate copies
  • Next, apply through the official SCCL apprenticeship portal — scclmines.com/apprenticeship — which remains open from 06 August 2026, 12 PM to 16 August 2026, 5 PM
  • Read the terms and conditions on the SCCL portal carefully before applying
  • Enter all required information and upload a recent JPEG photo along with all original certificates as soft copies
  • Use the same email ID and mobile number that was used during NATS 2.0 registration — this must remain unchanged until the selection process is complete
  • Select your area posting preferences as Option-01, Option-02, Option-03, etc. — final posting depends on vacancies and preferences chosen
  • After submitting online, take a printout of the duly signed, portal-generated application and submit the hard copy — along with the NATS 2.0 registration form, certificate copies, and UBI bank account first page — at your nearest Area Group/Mines Vocational Training Centre (GVTC/MVTC) within the same window (06–16 August 2026)
  • Important: If the hard copy of the application is not submitted at the MVTC for scrutiny/verification, it will not appear in the received list, and the candidate will not be considered

  • SCCL Employee Children/Ex-Employee Children: EPR view & ID Card (PDF)
  • PDF/PAF Candidates: Certificate issued by RDO/Tahsildar attested by HOD of Area Estates Dept & SO to GM, or Certificate issued by Area GM with PDF/PAF details
  • Scanned photo (3.5cm x 4.5cm, 10 KB–50 KB) with signature at the bottom, along with the four PDF certificates (each 50 KB–250 KB)

Note: Only original certificate PDFs are accepted — not scanned Xerox copies. If any of these documents are missing or incorrectly uploaded, the application will be rejected.

Selection Process — SCCL Apprentice 2026-27

  • Selection is based on inter-seniority with reference to the year of passing the qualifying exam, and merit within that year
  • Priority is given to “SCCL/Retired Employee Children” and “PAF/PDF” candidates as per SCCL’s prevailing practice
  • Local, Caste, and EWS reservations apply as per SCCL policy — vacant reserved-category slots are diverted to the open category
  • Preference is given to candidates with knowledge of AI, Systems, MS Office, and MS Excel
  • The selection process for the first batch will begin only from the first week of September 2026, after scrutiny is completed at the MVTCs
  • Selection is also subject to requirements stipulated by the Regional Director, Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT), Chennai, and the NATS portal

Key Terms & Conditions to Know Before Applying

  • The MVTC where a candidate submits the application will not be treated as the fixed posting area — final posting depends on vacancies and the option preferences selected, except for candidates applying at MVTC Naini, who will be posted at Naini Area irrespective of preferences
  • Suppression of facts by an applicant will lead to disqualification at any stage of selection, or termination even after joining
  • Candidate name, parents’ names, date of birth, and year of passing must match exactly across the portals, SSC/Birth Certificate, Aadhaar card, and Graduate/Diploma Certificate — mismatches can lead to rejection during scrutiny
  • For married women candidates, the surname in Aadhaar and NATS registration must match the surname in the SSC certificate, or the application will not be accepted
  • The bank account registered in NATS must be Aadhaar-seeded for DBT and should not receive any scholarship or other conflicting DBT credits
  • If a candidate changes or forgets the email ID/password used in NATS, they cannot create a contract on the NATS portal and will not be allowed to proceed with the apprenticeship
  • Training will be automatically terminated on completion of the one-year (12-month) period, and also without intimation for unauthorized absence exceeding 20 consecutive days or 40 days cumulative — apprentices must complete 240 musters of attendance to receive the Apprenticeship Certificate
  • In case of absconding or termination as per Section 7 of the Apprentices Act, 1961, the candidate must refund the cost of training as determined by the Apprenticeship Adviser/Regional Directorate, BOAT, Chennai
  • The offer of Apprenticeship does not confer any right of employment in SCCL — there is no quota or preference for SCCL apprentices in regular job selection
  • All selected external candidates must open a Union Bank of India account (at an SCCL salary disbursing branch) and opt into the “Union Bank of India ₹30 Lakhs Group Accidental Insurance Policy” by paying the required premium (around ₹750) for the one-year training period
  • No TA/DA is admissible for joining the apprenticeship, if selected
