Eligibility Criteria — Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have practical working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script
• Candidates must have knowledge of Rajasthani culture
• Final-year students appearing in their qualifying examination may also apply, but must obtain the prescribed qualification by the date of the written exam

Age Limit (As on 1 January 2027)

• Minimum Age: 18 Years | Maximum Age: 40 Years
• An additional 1 year relaxation in the upper age limit is given to all candidates as per the notification

• SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS Male (Rajasthan Domicile): 5 Years
• General Category Female: 5 Years
• SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS Female (Rajasthan Domicile): 10 Years
• Persons with Disability (Divyang): Additional 5 Years
• Widows & Divorced Women: No upper age limit, provided they are below the prescribed retirement age

Application Fee

• This is a One-Time Registration (OTR) fee — candidates who have already paid the OTR fee in an earlier RSSB recruitment do not need to pay again
• Reserved-category candidates from states other than Rajasthan are treated as General category and must pay ₹600
• Fee is payable online via e-Mitra kiosks, Jan Suvidha Kendra (CSC), Net Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card
• The application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances

How to Apply Online for RSSB JEN Recruitment 2026

• Visit the Rajasthan SSO Portal at sso.rajasthan.gov.in and log in with your SSO ID
• Under Citizen Apps (G2C), select the “Recruitment Portal”
• If your One-Time Registration (OTR) is not complete, fill in your category, disability status, and home state details, and pay the applicable registration fee
• On the Recruitment Portal, select RSSB JEN Recruitment 2026 and click “Apply Now”
• Select your desired JE post/department/cadre and carefully fill in the application form
• Enter your department preference, area/zone preference, educational details, and any visible identification mark correctly
• Upload a recent photograph — as per the notification, it must not be older than one month
• Carefully review the completed application form before clicking Final Submit
• Note down the Application Number generated after final submission and save/print the application form
• Important: If an Application Number/ID is not generated or received, your application has NOT been submitted. Merely viewing the Preview is not considered a final submission.

Selection Process 2026

• Stage 1 — Written Examination: Tests candidates on Rajasthan General Knowledge and the relevant Engineering subject; a minimum of 40% marks is required to qualify
• Stage 2 — Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates’ educational certificates, age, category, domicile, reservation, and other eligibility documents are verified
• Any false, incomplete, or misleading information found in the application form or documents can lead to cancellation of candidature at any stage
• Final selection/merit is based on written exam performance, subject to successful document verification

Salary & Pay Structure

• Selected candidates are placed at Pay Matrix Level-10 under the 7th Pay Commission
• New appointees undergo a two-year probation period, during which a fixed monthly remuneration (as per Rajasthan Government rules) is paid
• During probation, standard allowances such as House Rent Allowance, Dearness Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, and Special Pay are not admissible
• After successful completion of probation, the regular Pay Matrix Level-10 minimum pay and applicable allowances become payable as per rules

• Once One-Time Registration (OTR) is complete, details like Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, Gender, and ID proof cannot be corrected — verify these carefully before submission
• Candidates should use only their own mobile number and email ID, as all important communication (including exam call letters) will be sent to these details only
• Only ONE application per department is permitted for candidates applying to a specific cadre — but applying to multiple departments with separate applications is allowed
• All information must be filled accurately; any incorrect or incomplete entry can lead to rejection of the application, with the responsibility resting solely on the candidate
• No offline applications will be accepted under any circumstances — this is a fully online recruitment
• Candidates applying under a reserved category must select the correct category at the time of application — corrections after the closing date will not be entertained
