Selection Process 2026

• Selection is based entirely on a single-stage Written Examination (LST26) conducted by CGSSB
• Document verification, final selection, and appointment are handled separately by the recruiting department (DPI Chhattisgarh) and are outside CGSSB’s scope

Important Instructions for LST26 Exam Day

• Report to the exam centre at least 2 hours before the exam for identity verification and frisking
• Main gate closes 30 minutes before the exam starts, i.e. by 9:30 AM; no entry allowed thereafter
• Carry the admit card, a black/blue ballpoint pen, and an original photo ID (Voter ID / Driving Licence / PAN Card / Aadhaar Card)
• Wear light-coloured, half-sleeve clothing; black, dark blue, dark green, purple, maroon, and dark chocolate-coloured clothing is not permitted
• Wear slippers/sandals only as footwear; ear ornaments of any kind are not allowed
• Communication devices, electronic devices/watches, purses, pouches, scarves, belts, and caps are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall
• Candidates in religious/cultural attire must report early and undergo additional security checks
• Leaving the exam room is not permitted during the first and last 30 minutes of the exam
• Objections to the provisional answer key can be raised online only, with a fee of ₹50 per question along with supporting evidence — objections by post, email, or in person are not accepted
• Re-checking or re-evaluation of OMR answer sheets is not permitted, as evaluation is done by machine
