What Happens After the Result — CAF & Counselling Process 2026

• Qualified candidates must fill the online Common Application Form (CAF) once BSEB releases the counselling notice
• Counselling is generally conducted in three rounds, based on merit rank, seat availability, category, and institute preference
• A security deposit of approx. ₹3,000 is typically required at the time of counselling registration; this amount remains valid across all rounds
• Candidates allotted a seat in an earlier round who are not satisfied can opt for a “slide-up” option to try for a higher-preference institute in later rounds
• Once a candidate is allotted and confirms a seat at any institute, they are not considered in subsequent counselling rounds
• Any vacant seats remaining after all regular rounds are usually filled through a spot round

Seat Reservation Norms for DElEd Admission

• 5% of total seats reserved for Persons with Disabilities (PwD)
• 10% of total seats reserved for Urdu-medium/Urdu teacher aspirants
• 50% of approved seats in every institute are earmarked for Science stream candidates and 50% for Arts & Commerce stream candidates (this split may be relaxed for spot-round admissions against vacant seats)
