This recruitment is a great opportunity for 10th-pass and ITI-qualified candidates who want to gain technical training and railway sector experience.

RRC NFR Apprentice 2026 — Overview

Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has released a Centralized Notification No. NFR/NAPS/ACT APP./2026 dated 14 July 2026 inviting online applications for engagement of Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961, for the 2025-2026 & 2026-2027 training cycle. A total of 6,777 training slots are on offer across 8 Divisions, Workshops, and Units under NFR jurisdiction in Assam, West Bengal, and Bihar. This is a widely searched topic because candidates specifically want clarity on the stipend/salary structure — since this is a training engagement (not a regular Railway job), the monthly payment is officially termed a “stipend” and is fixed as per Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship norms, not railway pay-matrix salary.
