  • Practice filling OMR sheets with a ball-point pen — clean, dark, single-bubble marking; overwriting can lead to sheet rejection
  • With 0.25 negative marking now active, avoid guessing — attempt only questions where you’re reasonably confident (60-70%+)
  • Revise General Knowledge & Current Affairs (National, International, and J&K-specific) — this section carries good weightage
  • Brush up English grammar basics — Tenses, Voice, Prepositions, and common Synonyms/Antonyms
  • Go through basic Computer Knowledge — MS Office, Internet & Email fundamentals
  • Reach the exam centre at least 30-45 minutes before reporting time — Sunday exam may affect local transport availability
  • Cross-check your admit card details (name, roll number, centre, photo) the moment it’s downloaded — don’t wait till exam day
