JK High Court Junior Assistant Admit Card 2026 – Overview

Big Update — Exam Pattern Changed Just Before the Exam

Vide Notification No. 1152/RR/RC dated 08.05.2026, the High Court of J&K and Ladakh has made two important last-minute changes to the Junior Assistant exam, citing the “large number of applications received” for the post:

• Mode Changed: Exam will now be held in Offline OMR Mode instead of the originally announced Online Computer Based Test (CBT)
• Negative Marking Introduced: Earlier there was NO negative marking (as per Notification No. 49 dated 15.10.2020); now 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect/wrong answer

Note: No other terms of the original advertisement (vacancies, eligibility, syllabus, salary) have changed — only the exam mode and marking scheme.

• Online Application Started: 30 May 2025
• Online Application Closed: 16 June 2025
• Exam Pattern Change Notification Issued: 08 May 2026
• Admit Card Download Starts: 13 July 2026
• Last Date to Contact Helpdesk for Admit Card Discrepancy: 18 July 2026
• Written Examination (OMR-Based, Offline): 19 July 2026 (Sunday)
• Interview (for candidates qualifying written exam): To be notified separately

How to Download JK High Court Junior Assistant Admit Card 2026

• Visit the official website — jkhighcourt.nic.in
• Go to the “Recruitment” or “Admit Card” section on the homepage
• Click on “Junior Assistant Admit Card 2026” link (against Advt. No. 02 of 2025/RR/RC)
• Enter your Registration/Application Number and Password / Date of Birth
• Click Submit — your admit card will be displayed on screen
• Check ALL details carefully (name, photo, exam centre, roll number, date & time)
• Download and take at least 2 printouts for safekeeping

Note: Admit cards will be issued ONLY through the official website — no admit card will be sent by post or courier.

Documents to Carry to the Exam Centre

• Printed copy of Admit Card (hard copy compulsory)
• One Original Photo ID Proof — Aadhaar Card / PAN Card / Voter ID / Passport / Driving Licence
• Self-attested photocopy of the above ID proof
• Two recent passport-size photographs (same as uploaded during application)
• Blue/Black Ball-Point Pen (for OMR sheet — do NOT carry pencil or gel pen)

Items NOT Allowed Inside the Exam Hall

• Mobile Phones, Smart Watches, Bluetooth Devices, Earphones
• Calculators, Log Tables, Electronic Gadgets of any kind
• Bags, Wallets, Books, Notes, or any printed/written material
• Pencils, Erasers, or coloured pens for filling the OMR sheet (only black/blue ball-point pen allowed as specified on the admit card)

Selection Process

• Stage 1: Written Examination — 80 Marks (now Offline OMR mode, with 0.25 negative marking)
• Stage 2: Interview — 20 Marks (for candidates shortlisted through the written exam)
• Final Merit List: Prepared on the combined marks of Written Exam + Interview (Total 100 Marks)
