JSSC Field Worker 2026 — About the Recruitment

Candidates possessing the prescribed educational qualifications and falling within the specified age limit, as mentioned in the detailed advertisement, were eligible to apply. The online application process was completed through the official website of the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC), www.jssc.nic.in, by logging into the candidate portal.

The application process has now been closed, and the written examination is scheduled to be held on 19 July 2026 at various examination centres across the state of Jharkhand.

• Non-local (outside Jharkhand) SC/ST candidates are NOT eligible for the concessional fee — if such a candidate pays the reduced fee incorrectly, their application/candidature can be cancelled

Marking Scheme & Key Exam Rules

• Each correct answer carries +3 Marks
• Each wrong answer carries −1 Mark Negative Marking
• All questions are Objective / Multiple Choice Type (MCQ)
• All three papers may be conducted in the same day (different shifts) or on different days, as decided by JSSC
• Paper I and Paper II are purely qualifying — candidates must secure at least 30% marks (combined, in case of Paper I) to qualify, but these marks are NOT added to the final merit list
• Only Paper III (General Knowledge) marks decide the final merit list/selection
• Except for the Language subjects (Paper I & Paper II), questions in Paper III will be set in both Hindi and English
• Candidates must choose ONE regional/tribal language for Paper II at the time of application — this cannot be changed later

• On the homepage, go to the “What’s New” section and click on “Download Admit Card of JFWCE-2024”
• You will be redirected to the admit card download portal for JFWCE-2024
• Under Candidate Login, enter your Login ID and Password (credentials generated at registration)
• Click Sign In to view and download your admit card
• Take a clear printout of the admit card for exam day

JSSC Field Worker 2026 — Preparation Strategy

• Focus maximum time on Paper III (General Knowledge) since it is the ONLY paper that decides your final merit — Paper I and II are qualifying-only
• Don’t neglect Paper I & II though — since only 30% is needed, but failing to reach this qualifying threshold disqualifies you regardless of your Paper III score
• For Paper II, choose the regional/tribal language you are most fluent in reading and writing — this significantly improves your qualifying chances
• For General Knowledge, give special weightage to Jharkhand-specific topics — geography, history, tribal culture, mines & minerals, freedom movement contribution, and government schemes, since these are heavily emphasized
• Revise 10th standard level Mathematics thoroughly for General Studies — this is a scoring, less time-consuming section if practiced well
• Since there is negative marking (−1 for wrong answer against +3 for correct), avoid guesswork on questions you are not reasonably confident about
• Practice previous year JSSC-pattern GK/current affairs questions and stay updated on recent Jharkhand & National events, awards, sports, and schemes

Selected Kshetriya Karyakarta (Field Workers) will be posted under the Health, Medical Education & Family Welfare Department of the Government of Jharkhand.
