SSC CHSL Tier 2 Cut Off 2025-26 — Full Details

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the Tier-II (Skill Test/Typing Test) result and first round of tentative allocation for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Examination 2025, for the posts of Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC) / Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) and Data Entry Operator (DEO) Grade ‘A’. This is based on the Notice of Examination dated 23.06.2025, Corrigendum dated 25.03.2026, and the subsequent Notice dated 19.06.2026.

A total of 3,515 candidates have been provisionally recommended for Identification Verification in the first round of tentative allocation, based on the merit-cum-preference of posts submitted online by candidates and their overall performance in the Tier-II examination (Section-I and Section-II). Along with this, SSC has also released the category-wise cut-off in percentage of mistakes allowed in the Skill Test (for DEO Grade ‘A’ posts) and detailed post-wise, department-wise, and category-wise cut-off marks of the last selected candidates.

Important Dates 2025-26

  • Notice of Examination (CHSL 2025) Released: 23 June 2025
  • Corrigendum to Notice: 25 March 2026
  • Tier-II (Skill Test/Typing) Result & First Round Allocation Notice: 19 June 2026
  • Identification Verification of Recommended Candidates: To be notified separately by respective departments/ministries
  • Final Allocation/Appointment: After successful ID verification

DEO Grade ‘A’ — Category-Wise Skill Test Cut Off (% of Mistakes Allowed)

For the post of DEO Grade ‘A’, the Skill Test (Section-III of Session-I) cut-off is expressed as the maximum percentage of mistakes/errors allowed in the typing/data entry test. The category-wise cut-off is as follows:

Category Cut Off (Max % of Mistakes Allowed)
UR (Unreserved) 5%
SC 7%
ST 7%
OBC 7%
EWS 7%
ESM (Ex-Servicemen) 7%
OH (Orthopedically Handicapped) 7%
HH (Hearing Handicapped) 7%
VH (Visually Handicapped) 7%
PwD-Others 7%
Note: A lower cut-off percentage means stricter accuracy is required — UR category candidates are allowed a maximum of 5% mistakes, while all reserved/PwD/ESM categories are allowed up to 7% mistakes in the DEO Grade ‘A’ Skill Test.

Resolution of Tie Cases

As per Para 18 of the Notice of Examination, in the event of a tie in scores of candidates in the Tier-II examination, SSC resolves merit by applying the following criteria, one after another in order, until the tie is resolved:

  • (a) Marks scored in Section-I of Tier-II Examination
  • (b) Marks scored in Tier-I Examination
  • (c) Date of Birth, with older candidates placed higher in merit

Category-Wise Vacancy vs. Candidates Recommended (First Round)

Category Vacancies / Candidates Recommended
EWS 337 / 337
SC 490 / 487
ST 252 / 251
OBC 768 / 766
UR (Unreserved) 1,675 / 1,674*
Total (Vertical Categories) 3,522 / 3,515
*Note: The UR total of 1,674 includes 250 EWS, 15 SC, and 568 OBC candidates who qualified at the UR standard (i.e., cleared cut-off without needing category relaxation). Also, 1 EWS candidate qualified against an unreserved (UR) horizontal vacancy.

Horizontal Reservation — Category-Wise Breakup

Horizontal Category Vacancy / Recommended / Breakup
ESM (Ex-Servicemen) 301 / 300 — includes 2-EWS, 106-OBC, 7-SC, 1-ST, 184-UR
OH (Orthopedically Handicapped) 35 / 35 — includes 2-EWS, 26-OBC, 1-SC, 6-UR
HH (Hearing Handicapped) 43 / 42 — includes 2-EWS, 5-SC, 2-ST, 14-OBC, 19-UR
VH (Visually Handicapped) 39 / 39 — includes 4-EWS, 2-SC, 1-ST, 22-OBC, 10-UR
PwD-Others 37 / 37 — includes 2-EWS, 2-SC, 15-OBC, 18-UR
Note: Candidates selected against horizontal vacancies (ESM/OH/HH/VH/PwD-Others) are also counted in their respective vertical category (EWS/SC/ST/OBC/UR) totals, as clarified in the official notice.
