The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the Tier-II (Skill Test/Typing Test) result and first round of tentative allocation for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Examination 2025, for the posts of Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC) / Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) and Data Entry Operator (DEO) Grade ‘A’. This is based on the Notice of Examination dated 23.06.2025, Corrigendum dated 25.03.2026, and the subsequent Notice dated 19.06.2026.

A total of 3,515 candidates have been provisionally recommended for Identification Verification in the first round of tentative allocation, based on the merit-cum-preference of posts submitted online by candidates and their overall performance in the Tier-II examination (Section-I and Section-II). Along with this, SSC has also released the category-wise cut-off in percentage of mistakes allowed in the Skill Test (for DEO Grade ‘A’ posts) and detailed post-wise, department-wise, and category-wise cut-off marks of the last selected candidates.

Resolution of Tie Cases

As per Para 18 of the Notice of Examination, in the event of a tie in scores of candidates in the Tier-II examination, SSC resolves merit by applying the following criteria, one after another in order, until the tie is resolved:

• (a) Marks scored in Section-I of Tier-II Examination
• (b) Marks scored in Tier-I Examination
• (c) Date of Birth, with older candidates placed higher in merit

How to Read the Post-Wise Cut Off Table

SSC has released a detailed post-wise, department-wise, and category-wise cut-off table showing the vacancy, number of candidates allocated, and details of the last selected candidate (Total Marks, Marks in Section-I of Tier-II, Marks in Tier-I, and Date of Birth) for every post code and category. Each post is identified by a Post Code (e.g., L01, L02, D54, D55) which corresponds to a specific Ministry/Department/Organisation, listed separately in the official notice.
