MP Patwari 2026 Preparation Strategy

  • Balance both parts equally — Part-A and Part-B carry 100 marks each, so don’t over-focus on just one section
  • General Knowledge: Prioritise Madhya Pradesh-specific GK — districts, rivers, schemes (like PM-Kisan, revenue-related schemes), history and culture, since state GK carries strong weightage
  • Mathematics & Reasoning: Practice basic arithmetic and logical reasoning daily — these sections reward speed and accuracy
  • Computer Knowledge: Revise CPCT-level computer basics since this also helps clear the mandatory CPCT exam
  • Hindi & English: Brush up on grammar rules and comprehension practice — expect straightforward, foundational-level questions
  • Take regular online mock tests in the CBT format to build speed and get familiar with the online exam interface
  • Since qualifying marks are 40% (30% for reserved/Divyang categories), focus on accuracy over attempting every question, to avoid careless errors

MP Patwari 2026 Job Profile — What Patwaris Do

  • Maintains land records (khasra, khatauni) for the villages under their patwari halka (jurisdiction)
  • Updates land ownership, mutation (naamantaran) entries, and crop survey (girdawari) records
  • Assists in disaster/crop-loss assessment for compensation and insurance claims
  • Supports revenue collection and works closely with the Tehsildar/Sub-Divisional Officer (Revenue)
  • Verifies land-related documents for government schemes, loans and legal disputes
  • Posting is at the district level in the allotted district, based on the tehsil/halka assigned — never in the candidate’s own home tehsil
