The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has activated the IBPS PO/MT-XVI and SO (CRP SPL-XVI) Application Correction Window 2026 from 29 July to 30 July 2026.

Candidates who successfully submitted their application forms before the registration deadline can now make permitted corrections by paying a ₹200 correction fee.

After the IBPS PO 2026 (CRP PO/MT-XVI) and IBPS SO 2026 (CRP SPL-XVI) online registration window closed on 26 July 2026 (extended from the original 21 July deadline), IBPS has activated a two-day Application Correction/Edit Window from 29 to 30 July 2026. This facility allows candidates who have already submitted their application and paid the fee to fix eligible errors — such as a wrong photo/signature upload or an incorrect exam city selection — by paying a ₹200 correction fee. This is only for candidates who successfully completed registration; it is not a fresh application window.

Important: Category change is only allowed in this direction — GEN/EWS/OBC candidates may move to SC/ST/PwBD, but the reverse is not permitted. If you change from GEN/EWS/OBC to SC/ST/PwBD, the application fee already paid will NOT be refunded, since SC/ST/PwBD candidates pay a lower fee.

  • Visit the official IBPS website — www.ibps.in
  • Click on “CRP PO/MT” or “CRP SPL” as applicable, then look for the “Edit Window for Candidates to Modify/Correct Application Form” link
  • Log in using your Registration Number and Password/Date of Birth
  • Your previously submitted application form will open
  • Edit only the permitted/editable fields — carefully review each change
  • Verify all updated information thoroughly before proceeding
  • Pay the ₹200 correction fee online (debit/credit card, net banking, UPI)
  • Submit the corrected application — remember, this can be done only once
  • Download and save the updated application form/receipt for future reference

Critical Instructions Before You Submit Corrections

  • Only successfully submitted (fee-paid) applications are eligible for this correction facility
  • You get exactly one opportunity to edit and resubmit — there is no second correction round
  • If you had submitted multiple applications by mistake, edit only your latest/final application — earlier ones will not be considered
  • Once you pay the correction fee and resubmit, only the newly modified application is treated as valid going forward
  • After 30 July 2026, no correction requests will be entertained under any circumstances — there are no exceptions, even for genuine errors
  • The ₹200 correction fee is non-refundable and cannot be adjusted against any future examination or application
  • All other terms and conditions of the original recruitment notification continue to apply unchanged

Should You Even Use the Correction Window? A Quick Self-Check

  • Use it if: Your photo/signature was rejected or is blurry, you picked the wrong exam city, you made a typo in educational qualification details, or you need to move from GEN/EWS/OBC to SC/ST/PwBD category
  • Don’t bother if: The “mistake” is in a locked field (Name, Email, Mobile, Address, Post Applied For, Nationality) — the window won’t let you touch these anyway
  • Think twice if: Everything in your application is already correct — since this is a paid, one-time-only edit, don’t use it just to “double-check” and risk introducing a new error
