• Visit the official BCECEB website — bceceboard.bihar.gov.in

• Log in using your Roll Number and Password (credentials used during registration/rank card download)
• Your allotted institute, branch/trade, and category will be displayed on screen
• Download and save the Seat Allotment Letter — you will need 3 printed copies for document verification

Round 2 Document Verification — What to Carry (23–24 July 2026)

• Downloaded copy of Part A & Part B of the DCECE 2026 application form
• Original DCECE 2026 Admit Card
• Original DCECE 2026 Rank Card
• Seat Allotment Letter — 3 printed copies
• Recent passport-size photographs — 6 copies
• Class 10 Board Certificate, Marksheet & Admit Card (as age/identity proof)
• Class 12 Marksheet & Certificate (mandatory for PM group candidates)
• Aadhaar Card (original + photocopy)
• School/College Leaving Certificate (Transfer Certificate)
• Residential/Domicile Certificate (mandatory for candidates claiming Bihar state-quota seats)
• Caste/Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EBC/EWS), if applicable
• Character Certificate from last attended institution
• A Demand Draft of ₹1,000 in favour of the Principal of the allotted institution, made in advance (colleges do not accept cash for the admission fee at reporting)

Important: Candidates who do not report to their allotted institute within the 23–24 July 2026 window will lose their allotted seat. Prepare the Demand Draft well in advance, since it cannot be arranged on the spot at most reporting centres.

Seat Allotment Process — How It Works

• Registration: Candidates who appeared in the DCECE 2026 exam and hold a valid rank card register for counselling using their roll number/registration number
• Choice Filling & Locking: Candidates select and lock their preferred institutes and branches in order of preference
• Seat Allotment: Conducted purely on merit rank, category, and the locked choices — seats are allotted automatically by the software; there is no manual/interview-based selection
• Document Verification: Allotted candidates must physically report to the reporting/nodal centre (usually their allotted institute) with original documents within the stated window
• Fee Payment & Confirmation: Admission is confirmed only after successful document verification and payment of the ₹1,000 admission/reporting fee via Demand Draft
• Candidates who skip verification or fail to pay the fee within the window forfeit their allotted seat, and it is released for subsequent rounds

What Happens After Round 2 — Mop-Up Round Ahead

• Any seats that remain vacant after Round 2 document verification (23–24 July 2026) will be carried forward into a Mop-Up Round, expected to be held in August 2026 — in the 2025 cycle, this round was conducted in the second week of August across all participating government polytechnic institutes
• Candidates who did not receive a seat in Round 1 or Round 2, or who wish to try for a better institute/branch, remain eligible to participate in the mop-up round provided they have completed the earlier registration and choice-filling formalities as per BCECEB’s rules for that round
• Keep checking bceceboard.bihar.gov.in regularly, since BCECEB announces the exact mop-up schedule only after Round 2 admissions are finalized

Job & Career Prospects After Bihar Polytechnic (PE) Diploma

• Diploma holders in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, and Computer Science branches are eligible for junior/technical roles in state PWD, irrigation departments, power distribution companies, railways (via RRB Technician/JE-level exams), and private manufacturing/construction firms
