Selection Process — Full Roadmap

  • Stage 3 — Regional Language Test (RLT): Candidates who clear Mains must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and speak the official/regional language of the State/UT they applied for; this is qualifying only — no marks are awarded, but failing it leads to disqualification regardless of Mains performance

  • NICL provides free Pre-Examination Training (PET) for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), and PwBD categories
  • This training helps familiarize eligible candidates with the exam pattern, question types, and time management before the actual Prelims/Mains
  • Eligible candidates should indicate their interest in PET at the time of application, as per the instructions in the official notification
